BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato will light up the stage during the 2009 American Music Awards THIS Sunday, November 22 in Los Angeles.

The duo are set to present an award along with Kristen Bell and songstress Colbie Cailat, E! reports.

Among those nominated for AMAs are Selena and Demi’s gal pal Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson and Kings of Leon.

The show will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Sunday (November 22) @ 8-11PM on ABC.

Demi Lovato’s been living in the fast lane lately. She released an album in July and successfully collaborated with the Jonas Brothers on a hilarious music video. She also worked with the three bros again on the sequel to the Disney hit movie, "Camp Rock 2"! She’s a surefire hit and a surefire hit deserves a great party, right? Of course! Demi was spotted at her huge graduation/birthday/coming out bash over the weekend at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

I know what you’re thinking. Quite the party, huh? That's not the weird part though. Her birthday was August 20th and nearly three months later she's celebrating still. I wish I could have three months of birthday celebration!

Demi Lovato Urges 'Girl Empowerment' In 'Remember December' Video

'It's all about being fierce and kind of, like, taking control as a girl,' she says.



Demi Lovato isn't afraid to get a little angsty about love on her new single, "Remember December," the video for which hit airwaves Thursday (November 12). The Disney singer/actress said the track is meant for all her girls out there who need to remind guys that they messed up.

"The music video relates to the song in a way that a girl has so much to say to the guy, and it feels like he's not listening, and she wants him to remember everything that they had," she told MTV News. "And so instead of having a love interest in this video, it's all about being fierce and kind of, like, taking control as a girl. It's like girl empowerment. Yeah, divas!"

Lovato said the song is near and dear to her but wouldn't say just who the unlucky guy is at the center of the song. "I love this song for many reasons," she said. "It had a different sound than a lot of my songs. I related to it personally more than other songs, and I have so much fun with it. I thought if it could be a single that it would be incredible to perform it all the time."

The song diverges a bit from Lovato's typical pop/rock sound, she said. "What stands out about the song [is that] I can dance to it and rock out to it, which is ultimately my goal," she said. "I was just so excited when I heard this one, 'cause it's the epitome of where I want to go with the future."
